Need help? How to export the right CSV?

Frequently Asked Questions

📤 How do I export the right CSV? +

Trading 212 (web):

  1. Log in to trading212.com
  2. Go to HistoryStatements
  3. Select your full tax year (e.g., 2025-01-01 to 2025-12-31)
  4. Click Export and choose CSV format

Trading 212 (mobile):

  1. Tap MoreHistory
  2. Select date range
  3. Tap Export → Choose CSV

Revolut:

  1. Open the Revolut app → Stocks tab
  2. Tap StatementsTax
  3. Select the year and download the Annual Tax Statement as CSV (the file's first row is "Income from Sells")
Revolut note: upload the Annual Tax Statement CSV, not the transaction-history CSV. The transaction-history file lacks realised P/L and settlement-date FX rates, so it can't be turned into a K4 form on its own.
📝 How to file K4 with Skatteverket? +

Online Filing (Recommended):

  1. Visit skatteverket.se and log in with BankID
  2. Open "Inkomstdeklaration 2025 (inkomståret 2024)"
  3. Navigate to "Bilaga K4 - Värdepapper"
  4. Select "K4 Bilaga B - Utländska aktier" (Foreign securities)
  5. Enter data from your K4 Excel file (Sheet 2)
  6. Submit before May 2, 2025

Why Part B? All Trading 212 securities are foreign (non-Swedish).

🇸🇪 What is the SRU Bundle? +

SRU is Skatteverket's official upload format. The bundle is a .zip containing two files:

  • INFO.SRU — your filer details (personnummer, name, address)
  • BLANKETTER.SRU — your K4 form data, paginated to 9 rows per page

Upload both files together at the Skatteverket File Transfer e-service to skip manual K4 entry. See the guide for full instructions.

Privacy: the form fields are read in your browser and written straight into the file. Nothing is sent to any server.
📊 What's in the K4 Excel file? +

The generated Excel file contains 3 sheets:

  • 1. K4 Detaljerad - Every transaction listed separately
  • 2. K4 Sammanställning ⭐ - Grouped by security (recommended)
  • 3. Sammanfattning - Summary totals for K4 boxes
💰 How much tax will I pay? +

Capital gains from stocks are taxed at 30% in Sweden.

Example:

  • • Your gains: 10,000 SEK
  • • Your losses: -1,000 SEK
  • Net profit: 9,000 SEK
  • • Tax (30%): 2,700 SEK
🔒 Is my data safe? +

Yes. Your CSV data never leaves your browser.

  • ✓ All CSV parsing and Excel/SRU generation happens in your browser
  • ✓ Your transaction data is never uploaded to any server
  • ✓ No data stored or logged
  • ✓ No cookies; analytics is anonymous (no user identification, no file content tracked)
  • ✓ Open source — verify the code yourself
About FX rates: for Revolut tax statements and Trading 212 sells exported in USD, the app converts to SEK using Riksbanken's official daily middle rates — Sweden's central bank, the source Skatteverket accepts for tax declarations. The rates are bundled with the app (no external API call), so the privacy guarantee is fully maintained.
